Is Black Live Matter a Communist Front?

Posted by Tim Kaelin on

The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement has been called everything from a positive social change engine, to a communist/social plot orchestrated by the left. As with most things that spur such controversy, the truth about BLM probably lies somewhere in the middle.

To the right, it is a communist, anti-police, radical organization that wants to tear down America as we know it. Meanwhile, most liberals simply view Black Lives Matter as a heroic and powerful movement dedicated to eradicating racial injustice and police brutality.

Can they both be right? To a degree they are.

That is because in the minds of a lot of (mostly liberal) Americans, there is a distinction between the trademarked organization known as Black Lives Matter™, and the phrase “black lives matter.”

Make no mistake, the organization Black Lives Matter™ is overtly Marxist in its agenda. Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, described herself and fellow co-founder Alicia Garza, as “trained Marxists” in a recently resurfaced video from 2015.

“We actually do have an ideological frame [work],” Cullors said of her organization. “We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories.”

At the same time, the national organization’s official platform, published in 2015, contains specific language that calls for “[the disruption of] the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure.”

However, few of the Social Justice Warriors who say they support the concept of the phrase “black lives matter,” understand, or are even aware of the organization’s official platform. In fact, a whopping 51% of Americans polled say they support “black lives matter.” Most of these people, probably have no idea that there is an official Black Lives Matter organization. And I’m sure very few of them have ever heard of Patrisse Cullors or Alicia Garza and their political leanings.

Things to Consider Before Supporting Black Live Matter

You can, and probably should support the idea of “black live matter,” but you also should consider the distinction, and consider a few things before financially, or otherwise supporting the organization, Black Lives Matter™.

Understand that the “Black Lives Matter” movement, has been effectively hijacked by the official Black Lives Matter™ organization. Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza embrace their alignment with the U.S. Communist Party, and terrorist ideologies. Recently, Hawk Newson, head of #BLM in New York said, “if we don’t get what we want, we’ll burn down this system and replace it.”

Supporting radical Communist and Socialist agendas and anarchy is not “social justice” or supporting a peaceful movement for change  -- it is frightening and dangerous.

I know many of my friends and associates who, as I do, crave for an end to racial inequality in our society. They attend BLM rallies, and put “Black Lives Matter” signs on their lawns.

I know a lot of these people, and I can personally guarantee you that most of them, while liberal in their politics, definitely do not support ending capitalism, or dismantling the family, or even defunding the police.

By the same token my more conservative friends, are led astray as soon as they broadly apply their valid criticisms of Black Lives Matter™, the organization to the Black Lives Matter movement and its supporters. To be sure, in many conservative circles, we are well aware of the history of the Black Lives Matter founders’ Marxist roots. But the average person on the street and the average person who shares #BLM, probably are not. Furthermore, the movement itself has become something much bigger, broader, and more benevolent than the original organization.

So, right or left, you can feel good about supporting the idea, or movement of “black lives matter,” but think twice, and do your homework, before you throw your support behind the organization, until such time as it has a profound change in leadership, with an agenda closer to the objectives of the movement.

  • Before my comment is dumped, please consider this first. Everyone keeps saying blacks and whites are equal. According to the Constitution and Rights…yes…but according to similarities of the two…they are not equal in looks, skin color, language, culture, way of life, likes/dislikes, etc. The blacks who want to only associate with blacks and whites who want to only associate with whites should not be castigated for their beliefs or choices. A lot of older Americans today, black and white, grew up in separate black and white worlds and many were happy in those worlds because they knew where they stood with each other. Then the government and black leaders decided that black and whites had to become equal….and that’s when the trouble began….and nothing has been the same since. All lives matter…and the Democrats, socialistic organizations and our sitting-on-the-fence government are making matters worse by forcing equality when there is no equality. I am not black and never will be…so don’t expect me or force me to be equal with those I am not equal with. Everyone needs to back off and quit forcing what may never happen….and learn to enjoy life again with or without whoever we choose!!! As the saying goes: “you can lead a horse to water…but you can’t make them drink.” The government. the white do-gooder’s and black leaders can force blacks and whites together…but they can’t make them like the results!! If no one believes this….then why are we having so much violence and destruction between unequal blacks and whites….just to be equal?? I realize we live in a crazy time….but why do we all have to be crazy to understand something that should be simple??

Please, study up some more. The Irish back then were not just ‘Day Laborers", they were actually the very ’First Slaves’ in this Country, even before the Negroes. Many of the Irish were just little children then. The Irish never ever made a big ruckus about it.
